How Now What? Goes the Extra Mile

Removing Real Barriers—Not Just Offering Advice

For many young adults after high school, the biggest obstacle to moving forward isn’t motivation, readiness, or effort — it’s a small but very real barrier that no one else helps remove.

At Now What? Pathways, we believe support should be practical, respectful, and rooted in real life. That’s why, when funding allows, we may help cover certain required costs that often stand in the way of independence, such as state ID fees or driver’s license-related fees.

This type of support is optional, need-based, and carefully structured to protect families. Any assistance is provided by paying vendors directly. We do not give cash, we do not reimburse families, and this support does not affect benefits. Families always remain in control of what they choose to pursue.

We know that for many families, especially after years of navigating systems, trust matters. Our goal is not to create new requirements or risks, but to remove the final obstacles that keep young adults from taking their next step — whether that step is employment, education, transportation access, or greater independence.

Going the extra mile doesn’t mean doing more paperwork or offering more advice. It means showing up when a small barrier makes a big difference.

That’s the kind of support Now What? Pathways is committed to providing.
